Patti has a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for the treatment of trauma and other issues, including advanced training for attachment wounds, chronic pain/somatic disorders and spiritual trauma. She also works with clients who struggle with mood disorders, anger, grief and loss, boundaries and other issues. In addition, she is informed in Internal Family Systems therapy.

Patti earned her Master of Arts degrees in Counseling and Pastoral Care from Lincoln Christian Seminary. She is a member of the EMDR International Association, as well as the Illinois Counseling Association and the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association.

Patti is eclectic in her approach to counseling. She helps her clients explore the origins of their issues, then uses a variety of evidence-based therapies to help replace negative beliefs with positive beliefs grounded in the truth of who they are in Jesus Christ. For “if anyone is in Christ, that person is a new creation!” (2 Cor 5:17) Learning to “seek first the kingdom of God” (Matt 6:25-34) has been integral in drawing her into an intimate relationship with Him.
